School visits
AW Books offer engaging and interactive sessions for schools, whether in person or via Zoom. Our visits are designed to inspire students, spark their love for reading, and encourage creativity through storytelling.
We have visited a number of schools now to read, 'The Adventures of Rodney and Po London', and the response has been amazing. With each page the children have been really involved. They recognise where Rodney and Po's first trip takes place and love to join in with the sounds that are throughout the book, such as, Big Bens dongs and the sound of the train and bus.
They especially enjoy trying to find the little worm that likes to join Rodney and Po wherever they go.
If you are interested in booking an author reading, please email AW Books at awbooksstore@outlook.com, and we will be happy to get that organised.
We look forward to bringing you along and discovering the world together through, 'The Adventures of Rodney and Po'.
First stop, London!

Here are some of our school reviews
A big thank you to author Amy Wickens for visiting Castle Primary School to share her wonderful new story with our Year R children. The session was engaging, and the children were captivated by the interactive nature of the book. They especially enjoyed spotting the secret character hidden throughout the pages!
Amy was warm, enthusiastic, and took the time to answer lots of thoughtful questions from our curious young readers. It was lovely to follow the adventures of Rodney and Po, and the children were completely drawn into their charming story.
The book was a real hit, and our pupils are already looking forward to discovering what happens next in Rodney and Po's journey. A big thank you to Amy for an inspiring and memorable visit!
Thanks,
Libby

The children were so lucky to have a real-life author and illustrator visit our school. Amy and Hannah read their brand-new story 'The Adventures of Rodney and Po' visiting London to the children in EYFS and KS1. Lots of interesting questions were asked about the book, how to be an author, how were the pictures created and how long it took to make the book. The children loved looking for the hidden illustrations on each page.
We look forward to reading more of 'The Adventures of Rodney and Po' Travels Around the World.
Thank you for coming to visit us at Rydon.
